Our Dentists

Dr. Dania Alkhani, DMD

Raised in Ottawa most of her life, Dr. Alkhani completed her Undergraduate degree in Biopharmaceutical Sciences with Honours in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Ottawa in 2011.

Her love for science and helping people encouraged Dr. Alkhani to pursue an education in Dentistry where she graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2016.

Shortly after graduating, Dr. Alkhani realized her passion was changing people’s lives through full mouth reconstruction and rehabilitation as she feels it is a way of giving individuals a piece of their life back. Thus, she has set off to take training at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Education to help her achieve her goals. She has since obtained her fellowship in full mouth reconstruction and rehabilitation from this institution.

When Dr. Alkhani is not in the clinic, she pursues her research in finding innovative ways in treating oral cancer. Her research has been recognized and praised by many leading scientific and clinical groups around the world.

In her spare time when she is not working, Dr. Alkhani loves to dine and try new foods, bike, hike and spend some quality time with her family and friends.

Dr. Mustafa Abdullah, DDS

Dr. Mustafa Abdullah is a board-certified dentist with a broad range of expertise in general dentistry with special interest in surgery. He is focused on delivering quality care to patients of all ages and medical histories.

Dr. Mustafa (as he prefers to be called) earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario where he was awarded the Dr. Gerald Z. Wright Award for graduating with the highest academic standing in his class. Shortly after graduating, he noticed he had a particular interest in oral surgery. Dr. Mustafa embarked on intensive surgical training for advanced surgical extractions and implant placements at multiple institutes, including the highly reputable Timax Institute. He is very particular about his treatment plans and case planning and likes to share his enthusiasm with his patients.

When he is not practicing dentistry Dr. Mustafa enjoys his culinary experiences and broad range of music. He has recently gotten into cooking gourmet foods and likes to share his cooking with friends, family and the team. He is also a huge Formula1 fan – if you are into race cars, he can talk to you for extended periods of time about it!

Dr. Dora Flores, DMD

Dr. Dora Flores was born in Managua, Nicaragua. She moved with her family to Ottawa when she was eight years old, but returned to Nicaragua after finishing high school. She went on to get her dental degree, and after graduating in 2002, she worked for one year as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in Nicaragua.

Dr. Dora Flores was born in Managua, Nicaragua. She moved with her family to Ottawa when she was eight years old, but returned to Nicaragua after finishing high school. She went on to get her dental degree, and after graduating in 2002, she worked for one year as a DDS in Nicaragua.
After that year, she decided to return to Ottawa where she worked as a dental assistant for 3 years.

When she was accepted into the highly competitive International Dentist Degree Program at the University of Manitoba, she made the move out to Winnipeg. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 2008, and subsequently worked in Manitoba for 3 years.

In 2011 Dr. Flores decided to move back to Ottawa to be closer to her family and has since been working with Sedation Dental Group. She has completed an advanced dental training course in IV Sedation from the Georgia Medical College in Augusta, Georgia. She has also volunteered with aboriginal communities in Manitoba, been on humanitarian mission trips to Nicaragua, travelled to Korea and China, and enjoys being a mom to her 3 beautiful kids.

Dr. Ashley Kim, DDS

Dr. Jeffrey Yasny graduated from the University of Toronto with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1994. After completing a two-year general practice residency at the University of Michigan, where he served as the chief resident, he entered private practice in Toronto.

Dr. Jeff Yasny, DDS

In 1998, Dr. Jeff Yasny pursued a two-year residency in dental anaesthesiology at the prestigious Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. Following this training, he accepted a rare opportunity to further his education and complete an additional three-year fellowship in dental anaesthesiology.

Dr. Jeff Yasny held the distinct position of Assistant Professor and Attending in both the departments of Anesthesiology and Dentistry at Mount Sinai. He has supervised and taught anaesthesiology, oral surgery and paediatric dental residents. For over 15 years, Dr. Jeff Yasny has provided anaesthetics to more than 7,000 patients of all ages and various medical histories. Added to his extensive clinical background are his academic accomplishments. Dr. Jeff Yasny is a continuing education director, national and international lecturer, and published author in several highly respected medical and dental journals.

Important Notice

Dear friends and patients,
In light of the recent message from our provincial minister, we would like to inform you that dentistry remains unaffected and we remain open Monday-Thursday from 8am-4pm and Friday from 9am-2pm for appointments and inquiries (both dental care and hygiene). The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ministry of Public Health have provided us with specific guidelines to follow as we navigate through the pandemic. Please rest assured that stringent infection control protocols have always been followed and we have placed additional safety protocols in accordance with the RCDSO pandemic guidelines to ensure both patient and employee safety and security.
